Welcome to Trigrammic

Established in 2004, Trigrammic is a newly formed consulting group arising from the merger of Miller, Esselaar and Associates and Tina James Consulting. With more than 20 years of experience, we have worked on many and diverse projects dealing with Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in Africa.

Consultancy assignments have covered Africa-wide studies as well as specific in-country assignments in Botswana, Namibia, Uganda, Kenya, Ethiopia, Rwanda, Tanzania, Uganda, Mauritius, Kenya, Swaziland, Mozambique and South Africa.

Our experience makes us uniquely positioned to assist in shaping African ICT policies and strategies, to advise and guide companies wishing to enter such markets, and to support governments, bilateral and multi-lateral donors and NGOs committed to helping developing countries exploit digital opportunities.

We have developed an extensive resource network across a wide range of players in Africa – NGOs, the private sector, the donor community and other consultants working in ICTs. We have access to a range of specialised skills – local and international – which enable us to undertake research in support of strategic planning and development initiatives.

The principals in Trigrammic have access to an extensive network of specialised skills, local and international, which enable us to provide strategic information concerning aspects such as the size and present growth of the industry, the policy and regulatory regime, the human resource, major players in commerce and industry, key government departments and political support structures.

Our diverse backgrounds include experience at senior management levels in the private sector, formal academic teaching and research in ICT at leading South African universities and the leading science and technology research institution, leadership positions in ICT professional bodies, and management of a wide range of projects in the development and environmental management arena. Our facilitation skills and methodologies have been applied in corporate boardrooms as well as in community-driven projects.

We have used our broad management experience to lead and manage many of the multi-country, multi-stakeholder projects we have been awarded.
